A note from the founders

Specialty insurance is a trust business, but the way it's delivered to retail agents doesn't feel that way. Submissions sit in carrier inboxes for days. Quotes come back with subjectivities that should have been answered in intake. The account you spent two hours writing up is "being reviewed" by someone you'll never meet.

We started Taven because the work is worth doing well. A retail agent running a hard case should have direct access to specialty markets, a dedicated human on the account, and a file that everyone can see. Not a portal, not a ticket queue. A broker.

What we built is small on purpose. Four people touch an account: a broker, an assistant, an underwriter liaison, a claims contact. That's the team. They stay on the file through renewal. When you call, you get them.

We are betting that retail agents will pick the shop that moves the fastest and stays the longest, not the one with the biggest logo. If that's the bet you want to make too, we'd like to work with you.

Three non-negotiables. Everything else is a preference.

These are the three things we refuse to compromise on. The rest. Tooling, workflow, office location. We'll change if it makes the work better.

The same four people.

Every account has a dedicated team of four. They stay with the file through intake, quote, bind, renewal. No rotating inboxes, no re-explaining.

Direct market access.

Thirty-plus specialty carriers as direct appointments. No sub-brokering, no layered commissions, no "let me check with the market."

03.

Response time is the product.

Thirty-minute median first response. Quotes in hours where the market allows it. If we're slow, we owe you a reason.
